Personal Car Service
Our Personal Car Service is aimed at older or disabled people who find mainstream transport difficult to use - providing transport to your personal or business appointments.
Our cars are the perfect solution if you need pre-booked, guaranteed transport to take you directly to your destination with one to one support and assistance from your Driver/Escort.
Where can I travel?
Unlike our Dial-a-Ride service, our Personal Car service is not limited to travel in Bristol, and can take you to destinations in South Gloucestershire, Bath & NE Somerset, North Somerset and further afield.
Regular destinations chosen by our members are:
- South Bristol Community Hospital
- Southmead Hospital
- Bristol Royal Infirmary
- Bristol Eye Hospital
- Emersons Green Treatment Centre
- Temple Meads Railway Station
- Bristol Central Bus & Coach Station
- Bristol Airport
- Family events e.g. weddings, birthdays
When can I travel?
To request a Personal Car, you need to give a minimum of 48 hours notice for a journey between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday and 7 days notice for a journey in the evening (after 6pm) or at weekends.
You can block book the car for up to 12 weeks in advance where you need to travel regularly e.g. for hospital treatment.
You can travel alone or with a companion and all our cars can accomodate a scooter, wheelchair or mobility aid.
Car Fares
Fares start from £5.00 per journey and are charged at a similar rate to a taxi fare. The fare is advised to you when you request your journey so you know how much you will be charged and is determined by your start and finish locations in the same way as a conventional taxi fare.

To join the Personal Car Service, you will need to complete a simple application form and pay the annual membership fee. You can contact us to request an application pack or Join Online.
