Joinbookdrive is a new service brought to you by Bristol Community Transport. The idea is simple: great value minibuses are parked at convenient locations near you and are available to hire online. Just unlock the bus with a smartcard and away you go.
The service is aimed at community groups, clubs, teams, schools, societies, faith groups and more. In fact, any group can benefit as long as they aren’t for profit.
We’ve got brand new fully accessible minibuses placed in convenient locations in Bristol, it’s as easy as join, book, drive.
Join
The first step is to join as a member. Just follow this link and complete the simple online form. A one-off lifetime membership fee of £25 will get you set up and ready to go. You can also add as many drivers as you like at no extra charge.
We’ll check your eligibility and send out your joining pack, including your smartcard to access the vehicles.
If you haven’t already done so, your nominated driver will need to have Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme training, known as MiDAS.
Book
Booking couldn’t be simpler. Just click here to check the availability of your preferred minibus and book the vehicle for the time and location that suits you best. We’ll send you an email to confirm all the details.
You can hire by the hour or by the day and there is no restriction on how far you can drive the vehicle within the UK. If you need a driver, we might even be able to help with that too.
Drive
You’ll receive a smartcard in your membership pack. You can use this to access the vehicle – the keys are inside – and away you go!
There is a fuel card in the vehicle if you need to top up and you can travel safe in the knowledge that you’re covered by 24/7 breakdown assistance and comprehensive insurance. At the end of your journey, just return the minibus to its reserved parking spot. We’ll invoice you for your travel at the end of the month and you can pay online with a credit or debit card.
