Mainstream bus services
We provide a range of regular bus routes in Bristol, under a contract with Bristol City Council. All of our routes are run under the Bristol Community Transport banner and formally operated by HCT Group Operations - our group’s main trading arm. We run these, and other contract transport services, as they provide additional financial backing for our community-focussed services - a proper social enterprise. From January, we will also deliver ther metrobus m1 route inder contract to First West of England.
Transport for community groups
Bristol Community Transport provides a low cost alternative to minibus hire for your group, club, school or non-profit organisation through our community Group Transport scheme.
We have an extensive fleet of vehicles which range from 6 seater to 16 seater, the majority of which have been adapted to carry wheelchair users. Our vehicles can be booked for as little as a few hours or for as long as a few weeks and they can be used to travel anywhere within the UK.
To help our members make best use of our vehicles, Bristol Community Transport provides minibus driver training to the national ‘MiDAS’ standard.
Individual transport
In 2017, we joined forces with Social Access, formerly Bristol Dial-a-Ride. This means we can provide a whole host of services to help those who might find public transport difficult to use.
Dial-a-Ride: Our Citywide Dial-a-Ride service is available to residents of Bristol who are unable to access conventional public transport and operates from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Find out more.
Community buses: Helping older and disabled people reach a variety of essential local facilities such as post offices, medical centres and shops. All services operate a flexible route, so the bus can collect passengers from their homes and vary where they are dropped off. Find out more.
