Bristol Community Transport’s hospital bus routes now free for NHS staff

Bristol Community Transport has announced today that all its services which connect the city to its hospitals will be free for any NHS staff member.

Bristol Community Transport has announced today (23/03/2020) that all its services which connect the city to its hospitals will be free unitl further notice for any NHS staff member. 

The services are:

Route 52, which runs from Cabot Circus to South Bristol Hospital

Route 505, which runs from Long Ashton Park and Ride to Southmead Hospital

Route 506, which runs from Broadmead to Southmead Hospital

These measures start immediately and will stay in place for the duration of the coronavirus outbreak.

“Our NHS staff are pulling out all the stops to help tackle the coronavirus” said Jimmy Sommerville, General Manager at Bristol Community Transport. “Providing free travel on these services is the least we can do to play our part.”    

To access free travel on routes 52, 506 or 506, any NHS staff member should show their staff pass to the driver.
