From 2 June 2022, Route 18 will drop to two services a day. The route, which runs from Hellaby to Doncaster via Maltby and Erdington, has had very low demand as we have emerged from the pandemic and has also been affected by staff shortages.  We will now operate one service into Doncaster in the morning and one out to Hellaby in the afternoon.

“Reducing a service is never something we want to do” said Ricky Murray, Regional Manager for Powell’s.  “However, low demand for the route means that we’re often carrying no one at all on certain sections. This isn’t sustainable either environmentally or financially, which has led to the difficult decision to reduce the frequency of this service.”
