HCT Group and South Pennine CT team up in Yorkshire ticket partnership

HCT Group’s operations in Yorkshire – CT Plus Yorkshire and Powell’s – have teamed up with South Pennine Community Transport. From next week, we will accept each other’s unlimited day passes on each other’s services. Come one, come all!

Posted: 28 May 2021

From Tuesday 1 June 2021, anyone purchasing a day pass from either CT Plus Yorkshire, Powell’s or South Pennine CT will be able to use that ticket on any of the services provided by these operators. CT Plus Yorkshire runs services across West Yorkshire, Powell’s is focussed on South Yorkshire and South Pennine CT runs services across West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and into Derbyshire and Greater Manchester.

The idea behind the move is to create better links for the passengers who use our services – and better value for money.

“CT Plus, Powell’s and South Pennine CT all have something important in common” said Rhys Hand, Interim Regional Manager at HCT Group. “We are social enterprises – here to help our community get out and about. We think that a ticketing scheme that makes that easier is a great idea and we are delighted to be working with South Pennine CT.”

“At South Pennine CT, we’re all about improving the availability of transport for those who find it difficult to access and linking unconnected communities” explained Kevin Carr, Managing Director at South Pennine CT. “Working in partnership with HCT Group to accept each other’s day tickets will mean more options for our passengers with great value for money.”

The tickets cost £5 and give unlimited travel for the day on bus services provided by CT Plus Yorkshire, Powell’s and South Pennine CT. The ticket can be bought on board from the driver using cash or contactless. On CT Plus Yorkshire and Powell’s services, the day tickets can also be purchased on the MyTrip travel app.
