HCT Group’s first two permanently operated electric buses entered service today as part of our London red bus fleet, marking an important milestone. The double deck vehicles will be working on Route 20, which operates from our Walthamstow Avenue depot and runs between Walthamstow Central Station and Debden Station.

We believe that this is an important step towards reducing our environmental impact and just the beginning of our work towards a low carbon future.

For the enthusiasts amongst us, to distinguish these buses as being fully electric they will have an ‘e’ at the end of the fleet number – 2550e and 2551e.
