Who drives the bus?

There are three main options.

Learning to drive the minibus yourself is probably the best option

Drive it yourself

By far and away the best and most cost effective option is for someone in your group to drive it themselves. There are some restrictions here, but it’s going to be the most flexible option.

We do need drivers to hold a valid MiDAS Certificate – the national standard for safe minibus driving. We provide regular courses aimed at our community group members.

Request a volunteer driver

If there is no-one available to be trained as a driver, we can try to find a volunteer driver for your particular trip. We charge a small search fee and availability cannot be guaranteed.

Request a paid driver

If we can’t find a volunteer driver, as a fall-back, we can also try to find a paid driver – although, again, availability cannot be guaranteed.
