The coronavirus: A notice for our passengers and service users
We will continue to follow advice and take precautionary measures as recommended by Government on a service by service basis.

Bristol Community Transport provides a wide range of services – from the Metrobus M1, to regular bus services, to specialist services for the most vulnerable in our society. We will continue to follow advice and take precautionary measures as recommended by Government on a service by service basis. We’ll post updates on this website about particular services as the situation develops.
For our bus services, our aim is to be there for the people who feel their journeys are essential or have no way to work from home. We may see some temporary service changes to better match reduced demand.
For specialist services for older and disabled people, we’re working to establish the best way of providing essential support, including food distribution and shopping services for our customers. Community groups will still have access to our minibuses.
As we manage our response to the situation, one thing remains constant – our first concern is for the safety and wellbeing of our passengers, service users and staff. We’ve been taking the following steps to manage the situation:
- We are monitoring the situation constantly, following the latest official advice and maintaining a dialogue with commissioners and other stakeholders
- We’re sharing the public health information we receive from Government across the depots, so colleagues have access to the best advice
- We’ve increased the cleaning regime for all our vehicles – and upgraded the cleaning materials we use.
We’ll continue to update these measures as new advice becomes available.
